STOCK FENCING
The phrase Stock fencing can cover a multitude of styles and materials. In its simplest form it can be no more than driven round stakes and two or three lines of plain or barbed wire. However, stock fencing usually refers to strained woven net with top strands of plain or
barbed wire. The end posts or strainers are of 125 or 150mm round timbers which are dug and backfilled
900mm into the ground, then fitted with angled struts. The intermediate posts are driven into the ground and then the woven netting is fixed and tensioned. This is finished of with one or two lines on top.
